| SIG offers gifted students: |
- Superior programs
| SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students
because we combine academics, social, cultural and recreational
opportunities. Our 25 years of experience have
made us the leading organization in the field. |
| |
- Prominent academic institutions
| SIG programs are held at Amherst College, Bryn Mawr College, Emory University, Princeton University,
UC Berkeley, UCLA, UT Austin, Vassar College,
and other prestigious colleges and universities. |
| |
- Top quality instructors
| SIG faculty includes college and university professors,
educators of the gifted, professional practitioners, and
experts from specific fields, with degrees from Columbia
University, Harvard University, Cornell University, and
other excellent colleges and universities. |
| |
- Innovative academic program
| Students not only study traditional subjects, but also
might encounter a Japanese Samurai, Joan of Arc, or Ghandi, build a model
rocket, perform comedy improvisation, and learn in many other active and unique ways.
Learning is fun! |
| |
- Sports & recreational activities
| The SIG academic program provides an opportunity for students
to explore not only such sports as tennis, soccer, and volleyball,
but also sports such as fencing and archery, and even the art of meditation, at most of our
campuses. |
| |
- A safe and secure learning environment
| Student safety, security and health are our top priority
at SIG. All SIG campuses are in safe suburban locations
and have campus security. We can be reached at the on-campus
SIG office seven days a week. A registered nurse lives on
campus during the program and is available 24-hours a day.
Students can be reached by phone in an emergency. The new World Class Coverage Plan of insurance also provides many benefits, including program cancellation insurance due to medical reasons, or if either parent of the insured is laid off. |
| |
- Diversity in our student body
| Make life-long friends with gifted students from the U.S.
and around the world. Our diverse, international student
body will expose your child to other cultures. |
| |
- Outstanding campus facilities
| Students experience the energy and excitement of campus
life. While every campus is different, most have a computer
lab, science facilities, library, indoor pool, tennis courts
and playing fields. |
| |
- Residential or day programs
| Choose the program that is best for your child. |
| |
- Education planning service
| You will receive access to a “members only” SIG/AIFS exclusive website
in association with Peterson’s. |
